Vindaloo Curry Paste (Tamarind and Chilli) Hot

It's the hottest and the spiciest one that we have got. Originally bought to the Goa region of India by the Portuguese, it is now famed in Indian restaurants in the UK for its heat and spice. Our Vindaloo paste blends chillies with turmeric, cumin, coriander and authentic spices–a heady mix that is truly delicious – but only for those who like it hot.

Ingredients: Water, Ground Spices (22%) (Coriander (8%), Paprika, Chilli (2%), Turmeric (2%), Spices, Cinnamon, Fenugreek), Rapeseed Oil (19%), Salt, Maize Flour, Acids (Acetic Acid, Citric Acid, Lactic Acid), MUSTARD Powder, Tamarind, Ginger Powder, Garlic Powder

Beef Vindaloo Recipe - Serves 2

Ingredients:

2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

1 Medium Onion, Diced

70g Patak's Vindaloo Curry Paste

250g Diced Beef

200g Fresh or Canned Chopped Tomatoes

100ml Water

1tsp Fresh Chopped Coriander Leaf (optional)

Method:

In a medium sized pan, gently fry onions in oil until golden.

Stir in Patak's Vindaloo Curry Paste, add beef and fry until sealed.

Add tomatoes and water, mix well and cover pan.

Simmer on a low heat for 40mins, until beef is cooked.

Serve garnished with chopped coriander leaf (optional).

Equally delicious with chicken, lamb, prawns or vegetables.
