This mild, bright red, smoky-flavored paste is used to marinate meat, fish or vegetables.

A tantalisingly tasty alternative to a curry, a Tandoori is a dry dish - meat or veg marinated in spices - and is traditionally cooked in a Tandoor(an extremely hot clay oven used in many parts of Asia). Patak’s Tandoori Paste blends authentic spices with tamarind, coriander & cumin to create a delicious Tandoori that is fantastic cooked via your regular grill or BBQ.

Ingredients: Water, Ginger Purée (18%), Ground Spices (11%), [Coriander, Cumin, Paprika, Spices], Tamarind (8%), Salt, Acids (Acetic Acid, Lactic Acid), Garlic Powder (3%), Colours (E163, E122, E129).

Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

5 tbsp Patak's Tandoori Paste

3 tbsp natural yogurt

2 chicken breasts, skinless

Instructions

Mix together the yogurt and Patak's Tandoori Paste to create a marinade.

Lightly score the chicken breasts. Cover chicken with the marinade and stir to ensure it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Lift the chicken pieces out of the marinade and arrange on a baking tray or on grill. Cook uncovered in a 350F oven or on a medium grill 40 minutes.

Serve hot with rice or salad.
