Large pale brown peas popular in African, Caribbean and Indian cooking. Especially high in fibre and protein and delicious in stews and casseroles.
Directions - Soak peas in water for 12 hours then rinse and drain. Boil rapidly in fresh water for 15 minutes then simmer for 50 minutes or until tender.
Storage: Once opened remove to an airtight container. Store in a cool dry place.
