Bought whole, blanched, flaked or ground, used mostly in Indian sweets, as a base or decoration. Blanched ground almond is commonly used to thicken up curries adding texture and a wonderful aroma to vegetable, chicken and meat curries.
Eating raw almonds a few a day are also known to be good for reducing the risk of coronary heart disease and a good source of vitamin E.
